I do goals rather than resolutions and it works really well. At the end of the year I'm always amazed that I accomplished most of them. This year one of my goals is to generate new pictures every week and up my skill level by practice and training. I'd love to sell some pictures as well.
Practice makes perfect, it's a really good way to learn if you're self-taught. Good luck selling your pictures.
P.S. Sorry for the late reply, i was in charge of this poll but now i'm no more part of the staff, i was replying to an ongoing conversation and i noticed that no one replied to your message, so i might as well do it.
sorry about that, we post new polls whenever someone has an idea and we can find the time. but please understand that it's quite a lot of work handling this group, and we are pretty busy with the submissions
You mean that someone couldn't think up a poll for Valentine's Day and post it? Look, I understand being busy. I run a much smaller group on DA, have two web sites to attend to and have a 6-7 day a week regular job. I still manage to write a significant journal every week or so on DA and to do a poll.
But you guys are a super group that has the option of adding a little fun, a diversion to your group. Since you asked about New Year's Resolutions, I gave you one after weeks of seeing the same poll. There is always the excuse of not enough time...set a goal and have your administrators rotate coming up with poll ideas (once a week or so...after that the poll becomes old) and posting them. No big impact on anyone. At least that is the way I would do it...

I do one once a week and my subject matter is much more limited!!
