Special Feature ... 1 Year DA:iconspreadmoreloveplz: Today a year ago I opened my account at DA. In time, I have learned a lot, met nice people and some are grown me to the heart. :iconspreadmoreloveplz:I hope I've forgotten anyone, if they write me a note :thumb317515773: :
The Popularity of Sad ArtistsFACEBOOK // WEBSITETHE CONTESTTHE PRIZESI feel very sorry for majority of these popular artists on DA and those striving to become popular. I find that many of them are very dark and depressed beings, possibly even wrist cutters. I have watched many of them through my years on DA before this new account. And I'm surprised that as my skills advanced and as I got better and experimented more with my art, that they were still on the same genre and some even on the same skill level. Their life probably consists of many tears and moments of melancholy and pain. For why else would EVERY single artwork of theirs be of sad woma

TapestryShe found that her hair had properties, a life of its own. No matter how tangled, bed warped, unwashed, or torn. She rose each morning from whomever she had laid with the night before, staggered to the mirror to examine the bruised and bitten flesh, mirror'd her hair was at its norm. She and what's her name, the one still passed out on the bed, the one with the nails and teeth so sharp, who in dark hours had shredded her heart, would look at her thigh length tresses and marvel "That wind didn't touch it!" "God your hair is perfect." "How do you treat it?" "How many strokes does it take to brush it?" That week before, she'd said to the one who had wanted her more "I've had it, with you, with this mop of vanity; did you ever even have a family?" Absent after that one's company, she'd taken scissors to it; snipping slowly at beginning then faster handed close to skin then a bit of blood she'd be ugly she'd be left as the only one to

NightOnce again I return to night. For eons of scorching sun and glowing hazed radiation in the Valley of Death, night had been my heated solace, my parched skin's stalking ground of delight and horrors. Its obsidian shadows and sodium lit glaring orange'd metal dripped public spaces haunted during early morning hours by ghosted friends and pale fleshed desired lovers become my waking routine shattered social settings. Without desert dryness, adhering now in this water washed and saturated portion of the planet I drift again into cycles of life once surrendered. I return to night. The power of loss and not only of life but of what I had fed upon to sustain my day-life for three years now, takes my leads and drags me in wetted sexual delight back into night's embraces. No longer making imagery and seeking rhyme schemes to describe enlivened bright colors, pleasant venues of sight, or joyous visions; now are the woven textures

FlameA young soul, neglected and broken. Left throbbing in pain,Left alone in emptiness, her only comfort, a single flame.Blue's of heartache, and orange's of doom,Fill it's dark enclosure like a mournful, watching moon.Sensitive, fragile veins reach to her damaged skin,Colours of beige and cherished purple's, delicate like the end of a pin.A savoured glow, lightens the dying room,A little longer now, till arrives her tomb.Striving up high, the light flickers to and fro,Like the child's begging hands, engrossed in to much woe.The longer it burns, the shorter is takes to stop,The longer the child bleeds, the more she rots.He
