We're repeating the success from last month
Each month our admins picks their favorites from the gallery, and we put them in the featured folder for a month.
And here they are, the July selection!
A young soul, neglected and broken. Left throbbing in pain,
Left alone in emptiness, her only comfort, a single flame.
Blue's of heartache, and orange's of doom,
Fill it's dark enclosure like a mournful, watching moon.
Sensitive, fragile veins reach to her damaged skin,
Colours of beige and cherished purple's, delicate like the end of a pin.
A savoured glow, lightens the dying room,
A little longer now, till arrives her tomb.
Striving up high, the light flickers to and fro,
Like the child's begging hands, engrossed in to much woe.
The longer it burns, the shorter is takes to stop,
The longer the child bleeds, the more she rots.
Her face an everlasting colour wheel,
With gashes to ghastly to ever heal.
A shivery body, shot to pieces in pain,
Laying in a pool of red liquid, slightly moving; an apprehensive flame.
Trapped and left, in another's victims terror,
A devilish, repulsion, of a humans idea of "clever".
She's like a flame,
She won't go on forever.
Violence inflicted like the wind
Writers are all crazy, you know.Letters spill down from a canopy and
down the vines,
scatter across the margins to make
a story so divine.
There's a picture show
behind those eyes,
where a lake leaks stories
into a boat full of mad
but for those who think it's crazy
it really is quite sad.
on a rope swing,
between horror and once upon a time.
She obsesses over meter,
and nothing will quite rhyme.
She stares off into the
d i s t a n c e
trying to make some sense
of every idea that flocks her boat
and never will relent.
Her brain is constantly on
